Across NICA we are grateful for the support of our community – from coaching, to volunteering long hours on race day to providing financial support – we thank you! We are also incredibly grateful to our NICA Sustainers – individuals who have committed to supporting NICA’s mission and getting #MoreKidsOnBikes and #MoreGirlsOnBikes through continued annual giving.
During our 2020 Share the Ride, Change a Life Campaign – we are THRILLED to be able to give back to some of the individuals who give so much to our community. As part of our 2020 Campaign, Western Spirit Cycling Adventures donated a trip for one lucky NICA Sustainer.

CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU to Billy Fordree from the South Carolina League – our 2020 Share the Ride Grand Prize Winner of an awesome trip with Western Spirit Cycling!
Billy is both a parent and a coach with the South Carolina League. He has been part of the league since it was launched in 2018. He started out coaching the Issaqueena Composite and then aided in the creation of a spin-off team, the D.W. Daniel High School Lions, where he currently coaches.
Billy is a great guy to be around! We are lucky to have the Fordree Family as part of the South Carolina League, the Issaqueena Composite and D.W. Daniel team and the entire NICA Family!
The joy of mountain biking and the community of the South Carolina League drew Billy and his son, Parker to NICA. After being invited to a pre-season ride by a local coach, they were both hooked. “My NICA ‘why’ is the bonding I get to do with my son. This sport has really brought us closer together!” said Billy. In elementary school, Parker participated in more traditional sports but didn’t always feel very involved. As a student-athlete with NICA, Parker is constantly engaged and really enjoys riding. Billy and Parker are stoked to be heading off on an epic mountain bike trip with Western Spirit!
