NICA is hosting a one day conference before Interbike. We are pleased to invite you to attend this event.
The conference will begin on Monday, September 16th at 6:00 PM (Dinner Provided) in the Penthouse Suite of New York New York. The first session will begin at 7:30 PM Monday evening. Tuesday session will begin at 9:00 AM (following breakfast served at 8 AM). If you are attending the Outdoor Demo, we recommend you do this Monday, and be at the NICA conference dinner by 6:00 PM.
The purpose of this one day conference it to provide a concentrated time of community building, discussion groups, education, knowledge share and best practices. We believe there is extreme value in doing this in person with structure, facilitation, and to have fun meals together.
The conference will continue Tuesday September 17th and conclude Tuesday night. NICA will provide meals (Monday dinner through Tuesday dinner) and shared accommodations (2 per room, assigned by same sex, Monday and Tuesday night) for one League Director and one board member from each league. Travel scholarships are available. Accommodations will also be at the New York, New York, 3790 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
We welcome other League representatives or board members, however beyond the allocation of 2, leagues or individuals will incur additional cost.
The press conference will occur Wednesday afternoon at 3 pm or 4 pm (confirmation of which time will follow.) We request that one representative from each league be at the press conference.
We suggest you book your flights now. Shuttles are available at the airport from baggage claim to the hotel, however, the hotel suggest you take a taxi if there are 3 or more travelling in a group.
Group and break out session topics and teachers are being developed. Some topics confirmed are:
- Board Development and Effective Boards
- Board and League Director Succession planning
- Fundraising Ideas and Strategy
- Managing League Growth

A League Director’s call will occur prior to Interbike to discuss overall strategy for talking with sponsors at the show and managing time.
